I take the bus every early morning. Once I was waiting at the bus stop, it was a smoggy day, and the traffic was so jammed that it looked like the cars had been at a standstill forever. I looked in the direction the bus was supposed to come, but there was no sign of it. I saw a cyclist instead, peddling slowly towards me. I watched his body sway past me and gradually become transparent, until he faded away completely. I looked around me—what a shock! It seemed the smog was about to open its mouth and swallow the whole city. Humans looked so small and vulnerable! When I am on the bus, I like to sit by the window, imagining it is a screen unfolding stories, like in a movie. Some are happy, some are sad...
