Azma is a voracious reader. But there are always so many questions that arise in her mind when she reads. Those questions, doubts and uncertainties trouble her, especially at night, as she desperately looks for the missing answers. Failing at each attempt, she finally turns to writing. She realises that all the answers that she has been seeking can only come to her when she writes. The surreal creatures in the illustrations represent the fears and doubts accompanying her while she learns to rule her own world and write her own stories. “The Middle” intends to be the exciting story of a creative process.
