Journey to Zhoushan

Book Publishing

Artwork Description

We arrived on Zhoushan Island in April and stayed somewhere not far from the sea. I liked the soothing whistle of steamboats that came and went off the coast. But there was something about Zhoushan that made me lack confidence. The island looked like a middle-aged man, imposing and somehow stubborn. If I had to portray him, I think I would use shades of grey, peacock blue, dark blue and an earthy red.
