Artwork Description
In a village, a tall, strong woman works without rest. She farms the land, tends the animals, feeds the children and cleans the house; because she is so capable, she also helps all her neighbours. One day, exhausted by the endless chores, she wishes she could multiply herself. Her wish comes true: as she stands before the mirror, an identical woman appears, and the two set to work. Then another appears, and another, until there is a multitude of identical women, each smaller than the one before.
