At the end of winter, a young tiger cub ventures out of the cave with his older brothers for the first time. Startled by their sudden ferocity, he yearns to retreat to the safety of home. But when a butterfly flutters past, he follows it, leaving his brothers behind as they quarrel over who will rule the forest. Guided by the butterfly, the cub discovers a vast new world. Unlike his brothers, he has no desire to claim the land; he simply wants to explore it, freely and without fear.
